"Wells Fargo has invested in me and my business from the beginning and so it's incredible to grow and challenge the status quo, together." - Lindsey Braciale

How it all started...

Our first internal champion at Wells Fargo was Gray Bennett. Gray was Director of Output Services at Wells Fargo before he passed away unexpectedly in 2015. Gray personally connected with Advocations' mission because he had a brother with a disability, but what excited him the most was the business model behind Advocations. Gray became a business mentor to our founder, Lindsey and we still incorporate the business advice Gray imparted during their pizza meetings at Tony's. We know Gray be proud of the disability-inclusive impact Chauncy Barnhill (who worked with Gray) has sustained. And that's why we are so excited that CAREERS & the disABLED recognized Chauncy as "Employee of the Year 2021."

And we are just hitting our STRIDE...

Under Chauncy's leadership, we launched the STRIDE program to build "on-ramps" and opportunities for talent with disabilities. In 2021, we piloted the program in 4 cities (Charlotte, Des Moines, Phoenix, and Shoreview) and we are looking forward to expanding our footprint in 2022.
